Mary Sheridan was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and now lives and works in Los Angeles, California. She trained as a fine artist and graduated with a BA in graphic design, illustration and photography from the Dublin Institute of Technology and  College of Marketing and Design, Dublin Ireland. With over 15 years of experience as an animation professional working in the film, tv and animation entertainment industry, she has worked for studios such as Dreamworks Animation, Warner Bros Feature Animation, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Don Bluth Films and Steven Spielbergs Amblimation and has credits as an artist for multiple major motion pictures and TV shows. She started her career working as a digital retoucher for the Image Workshop in London, England creating and editing high end image content for magazines, advertising agencies and brochures for automobile manufacturing. From there she moved into the animation industry as an effects animator and  progressed to technical art director applying her skills in traditional drawing and digital animation using Toon Boom Harmony software for hybrid animation. This has also opened opportunities for her  to train and teach both professionals and students alike within the animation industry. With a focus on matte painting, concept art, digital painting and digital background paint for animation she has furthered her career by  completing 4 years at the Computer Graphics Master Academy CGMA, Los Angeles and LAAFA North Hollywood graduating 2018 with certificates in Matte Painting, Advanced Environment Design and Concept Art; Digital Painting and the Art of Colour and Light.
Software skills include AdobePhotoshop CC 2023, MODO 3D Foundry software , Toon Boom Harmony 22 and Procreate.
